What makes the Hive buzz?
With over thirty years in education, I have had the opportunity to experience a significant diversity of school positions and roles: pastorally responsible for children aged from three to eighteen years of age, academic leadership of EYFS through to A levels, and the last seven years as Head in two amazing schools.
As an inspector of schools for several years, I have been able to see great examples of how education can be led from all levels of any school. Increasingly, the quality of the senior leaders must be complemented by that of the middle leaders to maximise the impact on pupil outcomes. Developing this with schools will help everyone succeed.
I believe we never stop learning from others, and can develop our leadership with an open mind but a critical perspective. If we lead our teams in the right way, everything else can run smoothly.

Our mission
Investing in school leadership is crucial for fostering the development of a school. Leaders often face unique challenges that may not be apparent at first, and each school environment presents its own set of difficulties. It’s essential for school leaders to possess agility and adaptability in their approach to management. By equipping them with the necessary tools and resources, we empower these leaders to navigate obstacles effectively, fostering an environment of growth and innovation. Our mission is to support their professional development, ensuring that they are prepared to tackle any challenges that arise, ultimately benefiting the entire school community.
Our vision
Every school has the potential to improve when provided with the right guidance and resources. The journey toward excellence is not solely dependent on existing strengths; it is equally influenced by the support and development of its leaders. When educational leaders are nurtured and equipped with the skills they need, they can create a more positive and effective learning environment. By focusing on professional development, mentorship, and tailored training, schools can foster leadership that inspires both teachers and students. This collaborative approach not only enhances school performance but also cultivates a culture of continuous improvement, where every stakeholder feels invested in the educational process. With the right support, every leader can evolve, ultimately benefiting the entire school community.
